Hauser Private Equity Board Member Awarded a 2021 Laureate by the Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame

Established in 1991, the Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding lifetime achievements of the very finest entrepreneurs and business leaders in the metropolitan Cincinnati area of southwestern Ohio and northern Kentucky. This prestigious institution operates under the auspices of Junior Achievement of OKI Partners in coordination with the Cincinnati Museum Center. This year, the Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame honored Hauser Private Equity’s John W. Hayden.

Each year, the Junior Achievement of OKI Partners engages a select committee of local business leaders to identify and evaluate Hall of Fame candidates within their specific areas of professional expertise. Each candidate is thoroughly vetted in terms of their business success, company leadership, industry influence, and positive impact on the business community of Cincinnati and beyond. Hard work, determination, and a willingness to accept risk are just a few of the characteristics that define a Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame laureate.

A celebration of achievement over the span of a career, induction into the Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame involves a comprehensive examination of each laureates’ unique accomplishments. In fact, most laureates are selected after they have retired from heading daily business operations in a leadership role. By tradition, a minimum of one laureate in each class receives posthumous recognition.

Newly announced as a member of the 27th Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame class, John W. Hayden is not only very much alive but extremely active in the Cincinnati business community. As a board director with Hauser Private Equity, he supports strategic investment models with a concentration on undervalued assets and successful exits. Hauser Private Equity endeavors to directly co-invest in ventures while contributing to the operating leadership of those ventures.

Beyond his involvement with Hauser Private Equity, John Hayden heads Cincinnati’s CJH Consulting. He also holds board directorial or executive committee positions with the E.W. Scripps Company, Ohio National Financial Services, and CincyTech USA.

John W. Hayden’s previous business achievements include serving 13 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Midland Company. As its administrative head, he successfully grew The Midland Company’s assets from $760 million to $1.7 billion and its pre-tax profits from $35 million to $120 million. Mr. Hayden also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of American Modern Insurance Group (The Midland Company’s wholly-owned special property and casualty insurance company).

John Hayden laid the foundation for his successful business career with a Master of Business Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He also holds an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Although the induction ceremony for the 27th class of the Greater Cincinnati Business Hall of Fame was originally slated for October 7, 2021, it has since been rescheduled for March 22, 2022. The induction ceremony event will benefit Junior Achievement of OKI Partners and support their central mission of empowering young people to reach high levels of economic success. For Hauser Private Equity, this win comes on the heels of a year filled with new acquisition, growth, and success.
